My name is Claire Hanrahan and I am a recent graduate from George Mason University with an M.A. in Art History. Before attending George Mason I obtained a BFA in Painting at Marywood University in Scranton, PA. My research interest is Islamic Art and Architecture, with a particular interest in modern and contemporary Islamic Art.
I am currently working at the Freer|Sackler Galleries in Washington, DC as an Intern in the Education Department working mainly with the Docent Program.

Though I was born and raised in the Washington, DC metro area, I have spent time in a variety of areas. I spent the 4 years during my undergraduate degree in Scranton Pennsylvania and lived and worked in the San Francisco bay area for a brief period.
